THE SOFTWARE
The software and system developed Odyssey Trading Group, has under gone years and untold hours of research and development. This software and system now having been fully vetted and tested will serve as the foundation of our trading room and more importantly our short term trading hedge fund.
The software program and trading system provides its users radically simple, visual, real time trading signals. This software fulfills the two essential criteria of any exceptional trading software. 1) The software can be used to trade any liquid trading vehicle. 2) The software can be used on any time frame from minutes to weekly. This software fully meets these two criteria. The versatility of our software and system gives us the ability and great advantage of picking up trading signals on time frames that range from 5 minutes to 60 minutes. This use of an array of time frames in daily trading is that its gives users two distinct advantages;  1) more high probability set ups, because of the array of time frames and 2) by monitoring this array of time frames we are always trading with the big picture or the overall market state.
Odyssey Trading Group has developed 3 proprietary indexes and oscillators: the Trend Index Aggressive (TI agg), the Delta Trend Index (DTI) and the Trend Index (TIndex).  These 3 proprietary indicators combined with and used in conjunction with several standard indexes and oscillators form the basis for our trading system and methodology.                                                                                                                     Our indexes and oscillators are used in conjunction with: the Directional Movement Index (DMI), the Relative Strength Index (RSI) and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD). This blending of our proprietary indicators and standard indicators give us several distinct, high probability set ups that are used to trade the market. 
All of these indexes and oscillators are applied on time frames from 5 minutes to 60 minutes (5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45 and 60) and all of our set ups are traded on all time frames. The final product of the combination of these proprietary and non proprietary oscillators and indexes is a mechanical system and methodology for identifying high probability entry points into the market that completely sidelines emotion and allows its user to concentrate on the money management part of the trading equation.

The mechanical system, automatically gives the user a daily trading plan. It tells you exactly when and where to enter the market. We never use the word “IF” the signals our system and software generate are clear, concise and unequivocal trading signals. Trading with a daily trading plan exponentially increases the chances of your success.
 
A mechanical system completely eliminates impulse trading: without a doubt the worst and easiest habit for a trader to develop.  The habit of impulse trading probably is the single biggest reason people do not succeed in the business of trading. With this one bad habit eliminated from the outset of your trading career, the chances for your long term success increase substantially.
The mechanical system also sidelines impatience. Some of our students are impatient when they start out – they want to make money fast. Trading is a marathon not a sprint. PLEASE NOTE: that our software can be applied to any liquid market; domestic equity indices, individual equities, foreign equity indices, commodities and currencies. We have chosen to start the launch of this trading room with the most liquid contract available, the emini. As we move forward in pursuit of the ultimate goal of a short term trading hedge fund we will be adding new products to be traded.  As we expand into newer markets we will need more fully trained traders, join Odyssey Trading Group and be one of those traders.
